I expected this book to run along similar lines to many romances but there was so much more to this book. The author developed the characters in depth and there were many unexpected revelations to keep the reader engrossed and wondering how this story was going to develop. The relationships between the main characters were continually evolving making this a fascinating story. The author tackled some serious issues in a very thoughtful manner explaining how personal difficulties can impact on everyday life. Books set in different countries are always interesting as an insight into life in different cultures. The beautiful Italian countryside was extremely well described and will leave many readers keen to visit. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I'm sure it will appeal to a great many readers.
