This is the perfect summer read. It will transport you the the beautiful country that is Italy. You can almost feel the sun on your back and the beautiful landscape through the writers use of language and imagery. The characters are rounded and believable opening up the story line and each of their different views of the story. You fall in l9ve with the characters and with the place. As an older reader it was a refreshing change not have to live the life of a young protagonist. I will be actively seeking out her Josephine Moons book The Tea Chest in the hope it as good as Three Gold Rings was. The beauty of this family drama is that it was believable and absorbing. A wonderful read, so picturesque.
