Pine Road is outwardly a cul de sac of well built though aged homes. inwardly it is a seething mix of tension and rumour as in an age of Whats app neighbour spies on neighbour and old grievances are never far away. Into this mix are dropped Martha, her daughters and her husband Robert, the newcomers in the street. Martha has had a traumatic past and this move is supposed to help her put this behind her - instead she is immediately the subject of gossip amongst her neighbours.
