A warm hug of a book, relatable, emotive and well written. People who in other circumstances wouldn’t necessarily get on are thrown together by a post code.

This book takes us through the various power struggles you find in community, the power hungry character, the desperate to please, the authority figure, the fashionable figure and a number of others. Over an Easter street party several secrets are revealed. Plot twists galore, some predictable and some that I didn’t see coming at all keep you turning the pages.

The author uses a monthly Poker group WhatsApp group chat to bring out the characters personalities and intersperse the narrative, this is clever and allows the reader to make up their own mind about what each of them are really like without relying on what appears to be the ubiquitous gossiping of other residents.

A good read.
