I get the story of this book as being a look into the disturbed life is a school child. When an ex soldier notices that a girl in care who is normally top of the class has problems she gets involved...but is she letting herself in for more than she bargained for. Why is she getting black eyes and bruises and from whom. Is it some one in school or is it a problem with some one who should be caring for her. This story I would love to read
