I have not read anything like this before - most other thriller books do not have a school setting or even a perspective from an outsider like a teacher, despite being key in childrens' lives. It's a unique perspective, but this is like real life. Schools are stretched resource and budget wise, and nobody listens. The writer has clearly researched policing and the army, which makes me buy into the characters and the situation. I feel sympathy for Ms Wales and Destiny. Best extract I've read on this website, and a brilliant opening line. I cannot wait for this to be released.
