I found this a very powerful, emotive read. From the start you are drawn in and wonder what secrets are hidden behind the drinking on a cliff edge. The teacher is a complex character and her desire to help the children feels so real. This really feels like it’s been written with knowledge of the way schools and systems work. I would love to read the rest.
