After a cool looking cover but a fairly lackluster blurb I wasn't sure if this extract would be brilliant or boring.
The premise seems good,but I'm not sure I like or buy into the main character of Ms Wales, and she's the only one we know anything about so far. Whilst the setting and general direction is sort of believable it all seemed a tad rushed and frantic, the tone wasn't quite right.
The mystery and thriller aspect of a school girl in danger and the foreshadowing of the plot point we already know about works well though, and I think the choice of plot and the safeguarding aspects of school teachers and children is an interesting choice, that will need to be explored carefully.
It could have potential as the story and character's develop though,so it's gained 3 stars from me at this stage.
