This is a fantastic first novel by Kate Bradley, full of twists and turns that I did not see coming. Told from the perspective of several unlikeable characters it grabs your attention and is full of tension and suspense. You learn how all the characters lives are changed by the quick decision of a new teacher Jenni when she tries to help a vulnerable teenage student called Destiny.
Jenni a former military hero becomes a teacher and her story is intriguing and immediately engaging as she is so different from female leads I have read before. I enjoyed the style and different voices within the novel and think it would make a gripping drama.
I will definitely be looking out for any more novels by this author.
