Ex forces meets damaged child. I expected a deeply troubled read after reading the back cover and because of the previous profession of the author. I am not particularly used to a diary format, so found that concept quite interesting.
Jenni's character is of a strong committed personality, coming from a forces background and then changing career to teaching, she would be clearly aware of her surroundings and would notice abnormalities around her. Destiny is bright and aware, although deeply troubled, to what extent will obviously be played out in remainder of the book. I can visualise an interesting bond ensuing between the two characters.
