To start the cover of this book is absolutely beautiful with the swirling dark water, the coiled tentacles and that golden sword which matches the title of the book.
I'm honestly so excited to read this book. It features a strong female character in the form of a Siren Princess who steals only the hearts of princes, enthralled by their power and youth. She has no time for kings and queens who can be easily overthrown. She wants something lasting.
There's some beautiful imagery within this book and the author clearly outlines the difference between the sirens and mermaids, giving the latter of the two a more monstrous appearance whilst the Sirens are closer to how we traditionally view mermaids which is a fantastic way to differentiate the two
