The cover is what instantly grabbed my attention to the book. Though you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, the colours and use of features of the book (the tentacles and the knife) attracted me to the book as something I knew I would enjoy.
My first impression of the book itself is a fascinating storyline that is a twist on a typical fairytale- a type of story I've always loved- which would result in a compelling book that would be practically impossible to put down.
