Well I absolutely loved this book! I didn't really expect much going into it, but oh boy! I would.descrobe it as a darker version of the little mermaid. Lira is a siren princess who literally steals the hearts of princes, until she has to kill one of her own, then her mother the sea queen changes her into a human as punishment so she loses her siren voice and is unable to lure sailors to their death. Then she is captured by Prince Elian who hunts and kills sirens because they kill princes, they have a bit of a hate hate relationship at first, but then of course like any good fairytale they eventually fall in love. Oh and there's an epic big battle against the evil sea queen at the end! I mean what more could you want?
