A re telling of the little mermaid but with its own twists. Beautifully done by the Author. True enemies to lovers trope as the main characters are against each other. Lots of secrets hidden from each other. Complex characters is what I loved the most and what I enjoyed reading about. The found family trope is found within the group of people who will always protect one another. A siren and siren hunter, both royals and need something from the other. A strong headed girl named lira wants her mothers approval but she soon realizes that there is more to what she wants. Absolutely loved the tension between the two main characters as they always bicker and didn’t get a long at first. Not being able to trust but being there for each other. It was great seeing how their relationship slowing Change to hate to mean joking as it also shows how they don’t fully hate them but rather enjoy getting on each other’s nerves for the sake of it.
