This is such a good YA romance, enemies to lovers type book!
It is sort of a mermaid retelling story, but it has it’s own special twists involved.
There is a siren , the main protagonist, who is infamous for slaughtering princes amongst the kingdom. That’s where the twist lies; she is the daughter of the queen, who is a terrible figure.
The Siren’s backstory is awfully sad, it brings tears to my eyes even thinking about it.
Then, she crosses paths with a pirate of sorts, who is in fact a prince, and he hunts sirens.
Do I need to say anymore?
The fact that these two are sworn enemies and that this is a romance book shows you that some spicy things go down.
The style and writing of this book is spectacular. Not one moment went by when I was confused or baffled by what was happening.
I highly recommend this book if the genre is something you get along with well.
