This book is loosely based on 'The Little Mermaid'. Except with Sirens and not mermaids - Sirens are the seas beauties. The plot is only loosely based because she is given legs (cursed with legs) and you follow her Journey on land through the majority of the book, with a mission to collect the heart of the Prince that slays Sirens!
At first I really struggled to get into this book, it's a completely different genre to what I usually pick up for a start, the fantasy element was a lot more juvenile than I expected it to be. However, once I had got used to the writing style I did enjoy this book.
I gave it a four star review because it easily draws you in. It is an action packed journey, the characters are likeable and there are plenty of laughs to be had. The story line is fun, and it nicely builds up to a fire filled ending!
