That first line! “I have a heart for every year I’ve been alive” you keep going on that way Lira, you’ll have my heart as well (I’m a sucker for a badass, what can I say). This book seems to be filled with mermaids, magic and ,arguably most exciting, an enemies to lovers romance!
I have heard many good things about this book and cannot wait to get my hands on it. Described as being perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas and a darker retelling of the Disney classic ‘the little mermaid’, there’s nothing here not to like!
As a stand-alone, this book is the perfect length. I don’t think I’d want it to be drawn out as a series, but rather let it be a short, all-consuming piece of fantasy fun. Lucky for me, that’s exactly what it seems to be.
It’s a young adult novel so I’m expecting it to be an easy read and not too spicy - which is fine by me. This book should be entertaining and I’m very exciting about reading more
