The writing style is modern and poetic, with old, dark and romantic twists.
The plot is like The little mermaid 'but make it spicy and scary.
Sent to kill eachother, but destiend to love? A unique and unheard of plot twist, that had me drowning from the start.
Princess Lira, a fearless, independent and ruthless female lead is, throughout, witty and calculated, who suffers through the abuse of her mother... hear me out--- saved by the love of the human siren hunter....? ;]
I LOVE this book from start to finish, and any slightly dull moments ( of which there were only a few) were compensated for by the captivating and compelling story line.
