This book is a lot of fun. The perfect combination of pirate adventures, murderous siren royalty and classic YA romance.
Lira's transformation from lone killer into part of Elian's ship's crew is one of my favorite aspects. I was not a massive fan of the slight open ended nature of the book and felt that it wrapped up a little too quickly but would still recommend this book to fans of slightly dark YA fantasy.
