Alexandra Christo makes a splash into my heart. I loved Lira and loved the premise of this story. I was a bit wiery of the book, since it was a retelling of the little mermaid. And please dont kill me for this but Disney's little mermaid was one of my least favourite disney films. This however turned out to be one of my highest rated books I read this year. I had been slightly concious in how it would be since it was a thin book and a standalone but the story itslef was tied together perfectly and didn't leave me wondering about some of the plotholes. Yet again, Christo has gotten me simping over her characters both Lira and Prince Elian have a special place in my heart and I cannot get over the chemistry and the enemies to the lovers trope yet again.
