This book is a ya retelling of the Little Mermaid with a well developed plot and excellent character depth. It's extremely fast-paced, without any unnecessary and additional boring scenes, and definitely something you can read in a single sitting. Both of the main characters are intriguing, and they have really good banter that makes the book 100% better.
It follows Lira, a siren princess who is the daughter of the Sea Queen, and Prince Elian, a siren hunter. There isn't a ton of romance, so I wouldn't recommend to anyone who likes heavy, fast-burning romance novel.
The whole idea of this book is really interesting, especially to those who love retellings with a few twists. Everything seems to have been thought through very well, and the side characters were also really interesting. They had their own unique personalities, and they were overall really interesting to read about alongside the main characters!
All in all, I couldn't put this book down, and it's good for a quick and easy read. Definitely something I will continue to recommend!
