this book was a really good standalone and even though it was short i still got a feel for the main characters. the dialogue between the love interests was entertaining and the plot was really interesting. i would recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of leigh bardugo or sarah j maas as it has the dame kind of feel. the romance in this book was very well balanced with the plot especially seeing as the book is not very long, so even though it is short lived you dont feel robbed of the cute moments between lira and prince elian.
this writing style is really simple so you dont feel lost at any points and i felt like it moved quite quickly so it didnt get boring. the only thing i didnt like was the fact that the book was kind of short for the plot itself. i feel like if it was a little longer (maybe 100 pages or so) i would have been more invested in the book.
