I did enjoy the most part of this book (mainly the beginning), but unfortunately it fell a little flat for me. I usually love reading about sirens/mermaids and just sea-set books in general but there was something about this book that just did not grip me.
I didn't feel emotionally invested in the characters, even though the plot had so much potential it just didn't grip my attention.
I wasn't a fan of the romance at all and found it quite predictable with the prince falling for the siren, I know it is a Little Mermaid retelling but I was hoping it would be a lot darker than what it actually was. It felt a little.... boring.
I know it is the authors first book so I'd like to read her future works and see if they will get better.
