W e l l then...sirens, romance, and gore. Honestly, what more could I ask for? I've been recommended this book by one of my friends, and I honestly didn't think it could be THIS good!
The writing style is very much like Sarah J Maas' writing style, but better in my opinion because it's concise. The descriptions are honestly beautiful, and the world is extremely reminiscent of Ancient Greece and Egypt. And me, being the mythology nerd I am, loved it. The settings, names, Lira and Elian, I loved them.
The plot seems to be going in a very interesting direction. I'm currently writing a siren novel myself, and I wanted a mermaid/siren book to give me some inspiration. In all honesty, it's doing wonders. I desperately want to know more about the world, Lira and Elian's story, how the romance blossoms despite her being a prince-eating siren, and him being a siren hunter.
