Whilst this book isn’t the best book that I’ve ever read, I really enjoyed it as a break between the other crazy books I’ve been reading. It has a compelling story line and I felt deeply and emotionally connected with all of the characters. However, despite the good plot and concept of the book, and the amazingly thought out relationship between the main character, I must say that the ending was a little disappointing. I feel like all of the action built up and just ended abruptly without a really wrapped up ifea. Having said that, despite the last few chapters and the end of the plot, it was well written and I appreciate the idea. Very good for people looking for a quick ya fantasy book (especially if you’re into pirates and sirens and that sort of stuff- p.s lira and elian I ship way too hard omg hahah) definitely recommend though despite everything
