I love having the two different point of views from princess Lira and prince Elian but I didn’t like how inconsistent it was. At some points it would be two chapters than change and other times it would be four and one.
Princess Lira is a siren trying to empress her mother. Every year on a sirens birthday they get to kill and collect a heart. Only that day can you do it and Lira finds that out the hard way. After she kills a prince early and takes his heart her mother crushes it taking a bit of Liras magic with it. She’s than told she has to kill a commoner for her birthday. Instead she goes after Prince Elian who’s a siren hunter. Her mother banishes her saying she has to kill Elian as a human or she can never return.
Elian hates being a prince and would rather run with his pirate crew. After he rescues Lira they try to over throw the siren queen together.
