This is a fantasy book, set in a far away land, following the tales of a Prince, heir to a throne he doesn't want, and a fearsome Siren Princess, who will do anything to retain her reputation. I love this book, and have read it many times. Alexandra Christo displays female strength a power in an incredible way, throughout this novel. Each character has depth and flaws, which makes the read that bit more enjoyable.
To Kill a Kingdom is easy to read, and is filled with rich descriptions that make you want to stop and explore each individual setting. The text itself is not completely restricting so that it allows the reader to read into the imagery, and explore the subtext at your own pace.
