This book was amazing! I really enjoyed it and if it wasn’t for other commitments I would have absolutely sped through it! As it was, I looked forward to coming home and reading it!
The book centres on the point of view of the two main characters; Princess Lira of the Sirens and Prince Elian of Midas, and it’s really nice to see the story from both the point of view of the human and the siren! I personally don’t think their is enough books out there about mermaids and sirens etc so I was really pleased when I received this from Readers First!
The book strongly reminded me of The Little Mermaid - and I have since been told it is supposed to be a re-telling so that would be why! I loved the development of the characters, the pace of the book and the conclusion! I had doubts when I found out it was a stand-alone that the book wouldn’t be rushed but it wasn’t and the ending was satisfying!
I strongly recommend this book when it comes out, as it’s a fresh YA book, which is thoroughly entertaining!
