I had just finished rereading my favourite series, so my expectations were pretty high. To kill a kingdom soard over those expectations. It had my attention once I laid my eyes on it. The cover was so pretty. I picked it up, read the first page and it had me hooked. Just like that. So obviously I had to buy it. Once I got home the first thing I did was lay down on the couch and open the book. I loved the start, ending, middle, all of it. The plot was outstanding. When Lira had the chance to rip out Elian’s heart, she waited. Then I knew that it sparked something in her. The enemies to lovers books are always my favourite. I loved how the author made it a slow burn, it is annoying, but it’s not. I literally couldn’t stop reading. And when Lira’s true identity was revealed and Elian attacked her, i shut the book and started to crying my eyes out. But then I was so glad when they finally took down the Sea Queen together. But the point is it was one of the best books I have ever read.
