So, I didn't ever enter this draw on readers first (I didn't know about the site when this came out!), but I had the privilege of reading this book recently, and it was actually very good!
The characters were compelling, the romance was subtle but interesting, the whole magical presence worked so well. The writing was also really good -- and the angel of female empowerment worked so well, in my opinion! I thought it was a story that could potentially be quite boring and too romance-heavy, but it was actually the perfect mix with action.
I've recently bought the author's other book "Into the crooked place", and I'm hoping it's as good as this one! What I also love about this book is that it's a stand alone, and works well without spreading it out into a multiple book series.
