What an absolutely extraordinary tale.
Lira is a siren cursed into humanity by the Sea Queen and she must deliver the heart of Siren Killer Prince Eilan.
This is not your typical fantasy novel it's dark and steers away from the typical fantasy tropes. The character development of Lira and Eilan is brilliant throughout as well as the relationship between them both. They both have questionable morals they seem to get on rather well considering. What I did enjoy is this book was not focused on the romantic relationship between both characters although it did slowly burn throughout but that didn't bother me as it wasn't thrown in my face. If I was to sum it up in a statement it would be: a dark take on The Little Mermaid.
This was a good solid read and although I was hesitant about reading it I must say Christo has pulled it out the bag.
