Sirens and pirates, there isn't a better combination!!!!!!
This was a great book that had a strong believable romance, made better by the secrets and lies that added tension to it. Well, as believable as you get with enemies to lovers xD
No hate on the trope though! And when you add hidden identities to it *swoon-y sigh*
The build up of this book was great and it was definitely a climax worth waiting for. Any kinda water based magic system is gonna do it for me though, not gonna lie *shrurgs in pirate last life*
The only reason it lost a star was because I loved these characters so much, and I feel like they deserved a better ending that just the usual 'they lived happily ever after' that was implied at the end of an otherwise flawless novel. (And no one can rlly be into a giant half octopus lady!! Sorry- it had to be said)
All in all a fun standalone fantasy read- a real rarity!
