I've been really enjoying the enemies to lover tropes at the minute and also fairytale retellings. This felt like a mixture of both, especially being set underwater in the mermaid setting.
Being a huge Sarah J Maas fan, i agree that this is a good book to read following on from finishing one of her series or stand alones.
i loved the story line of this book and was gripped from the opening line "i have a heart for every year I've been alive" until the very end.
I'm really excited for the next book of the author's to read and enjoy every second of it, similarly to this one.
i think it is great to have such a strong femine protagonist maintaining her strength throughout the novel even with all the obstacles put into her way. I'm happy that the novel ended with a happy ending as i feel it brought the close to a final high. i would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys ya enemies to lover tropes!
