I've only read the first few pages of the book (I haven't actually bought yet) and I must say I'm really enjoying it. I don't think I've ever read a book about mermaids so this one caught my eye immediately. I really enjoyed how the writer told us the story about the murders and why mermaids must take people's hearts. We could already get to know Lilia's character since the beggining and I'm sure there will be room for character development throughout the book.
The writing style is pretty simple to get into, right after the first sentence it's easy to keep reading as it starts to give more and more information that awakens your curiosity. I really liked to see the differences between Lira who's very experienced and Khalia who seems to be very young and starting to learn. I also really enjoyed to watch how the seduction happens and how the sirens can captivate their princes (I don't know if this will be developed throughout the book but I feel like it could've been more detailed now).
I'm definately going to read it!
