The first 32 pages of this book seem wonderful. The idea of retelling of The Little Mermaid story is very intriguing to me. I love the way that the characters have been described so far and I also really like the way Lira interacts with her cousin, it's refreshing to not be focusing on a male female relationship all the time.
I love learning about sirens as well. I have never read anything which focuses on them and I don't really know much about them so this will be wonderful to continue with. Lira seems to be a strong character and I really love the way that the author is utilising this feature.
I'm so intrigued by the first look at this book and I really want to pick this up now and continue reading.
