Well i’m my opinion the main character is very likeable. Usually i don’t actually like the main characters in books and movies because i like when they are headstrong with their own opinions and feelings but she feels that way and i think she could be a new comfort character for me. Ive always like the concept of mermaids and i think this book portrays then very well not as the lovely sing song mermaids who are beautiful and do no harm like the little mermaid but here there’s the interesting plot that mermaids actually hate humans and we find out it’s because the humans actually know about these mermaids which usually in stories about mermaids the humans have no idea. I think this is a very intriguing book and introduces their magic fantasy world very well , usually im a fantasy book i’m confused for about 2 chapters but this one gets right to it which i like.
