To Kill a kingdom honestly is not worth the hype. So many people have enjoyed this book and I wanted to see if it was really worth it. I had high hopes and expectations for this book but it was very predictable though I enjoyed the fact that it was a darker remake of The little mermaid. I wanted more to it like more suspense and surprises. This book is good for those who are starting to read books but I wouldn't recommend it for people who already read since its kind of a waste of time. There were some interesting scenes and I liked how the author made Lira and Elian both villains in their own ways. I feel like there should have been more tensions and violence between them since they are enemy to eachother that would have made the story longer and got the reader hooked. Overall , it was a good book but not something I would recommend to someone who reads .
