The book is about a siren who kills princes and a prince who kills sirens which immediately caught my attention because enemies to lovers is my favourite trope ever! I loved the characters and their arcs and the fact that only Lira knew they where enemies, but i do feel as if the ending was very rushed and that the book would’ve been better suited to being a duology. Spoilers ahead!!-

at the ending where Elian found out that Lira was the Princes Bane then proceeded to help her kill her mom seemed as if it happened all too fast I also feel like there could’ve been more development for Kye and Madrid and their relationship with Lira after finding out she was the princes bane could’ve been explored a bit more as i’m sure they felt quite betrayed; as well as Elian. In my opinion the book WAS good, but it could’ve been better had everything not been so rushed at the end. The romance in the book was a favourite of mine and i love how it wasn’t a major thing, some of the quotes from the book also live in my mind constantly such as ‘ but then liras eyes quiver back and there doesn’t seem to be much point in being funny if she isn’t the one to hear it.’ I would definitely recommend this book if you need a quick read!!
