This was a brilliant book! I loved it so much. It's the first book I've read in a long time that fully engaged me and meant I couldn't put it down; I had to know what was going to happen next!
The characters are wonderful. Theres nothing I love more than reading about a main character that is a despicable person, especially when their opponent is equally despicable, and this is something Christo writes well (have read 'Into the Crooked Place' and it's very good as well). It kind of reminded me of 'The Cruel Prince' by Holly Black which is one of my absolute favourites.
The world that Christo creates is also so vivid. It feels so real and yet very different from any book I have written before. Highly recommend it.
