I heard of this book through a book subscription box and it looked promising.
I bought the book and thought it sounded like my cup of tea and the cover is gorgeous. I know your not supposed to judge a book by it’s cover but sometimes I can’t help myself.
I’ll be honest I haven’t finished the book yet, but I’m not sure I ever will I just cannot get into it at all. I’m about a third of the way in and so far I’m just bored. I keep waiting for it to get better but at this point I’m not sure it will.
One of the things that bug me about this book is the way the characters seem to be explaining things to me for my benefit. I don’t feel like the story is unfolding slowly I feel like characters are playing catch-up telling me what’s happened before and who’s who. Maybe the author should have stated the story earlier in the time line?
I’m going to try to continue the book and hopefully finish it, but I’ve been reading it for a while now so I don’t know how long it’ll take.
