This book is set in a wonderful universe of sirens, pirates, princes and mermaids, and in kingdoms in the depths of the ocean and on frozen mountains. I loved that about it but found the language too flowery at times, as if it was trying too hard. There were points where I literally could not work out what was being described! I really wanted to love it, and I did enjoy it, but for me it didn't manage to live up to my expectations.
