there is literally nothing to not like about this book. sirens, enemies to lovers, it's just so amazing, i love it so much.
it's kinda similar to the little mermaid, but not really because there's quite a few differences. like elian is a prince but he's also a pirate (i forgot to mention that, sirens, enemies to lovers and PIRATES). if you're looking for a retelling, it's not this one because it's similar but not a retelling, if that makes sense. like, lira isn't looking to fall in love with him and be human, she's looking to kill him. I LOVE LIRA SHE'S SO BADASS.
ELIAN AND HIS CREW ARE SO COOL AS WELL. he's so much more likeable than eric in the little mermaid and he's badass as well. (two badass enemies that fall in love what could be better)
I FORGOT TO MENTION: if you're looking for a pure fantasy romance that's just about the romance, it's not really for that. the relationship between elian and lira is fairly slow burn (i love it that way) but if you like that, it's amazing.
there's so much fun banter and sarcasm and there's kingdoms and drama and adventure and my copy is SO annotated, it won't disappoint i promise.
