As one of many fans of the ever popular trope of enemies to lovers i just KNEW that i had to buy and read to kill a kingdom, especially after having heard so much about it from booktok and i’m happy to say that it lived up to the hype.

The biggest thing for me with enemies to lovers that decides whether or not i genuinely like the books use of the trope is if they actually continue to have the same sexual tension and witty banter with one another, even after they begin to grudgingly respect one another and then grow to develop feelings for one another and let me tell you that this book DELIVERED.

Whilst they may not have actually got into a relationship together, the most interesting part to read is their moments of intimacy with one another, that become all the more special when you realise how truly rare they are and how they’ve never allowed anyone else to see them like that.

Overall i definitely recommend.
