This is a fantasy book set in a pirate vs siren world. It is enemies to lovers but also covers the found family trope. It follows Lira the siren princess and Elian the prince but also a siren killer whose heart longs to be at sea. This book hooked me on from the first chapter the short engaging sentences and magical descriptions really helped to set the scene and create that enchanting atmosphere. The characters are written beautifully with Lira and Elains flirty banter and the playful jokes between Elians crew mates, it’s hard not to fall in love with them all. It’s dual pov so you really get an understanding of what both protagonists are feeling and it really makes the love story more real and inviting. Also the use of the anonymous pov helps to make the story seem magic and out of this world which is what fantasy books are all about. I think this a real worthwhile read if you’re interested in fantasy, love, sirens and other supernatural beings and just feeling a connection with the plot and characters. 10/10 read!!!
