This is a distant retelling of the story The Little Mermaid. It is about a princess siren named Lira who is infamous for killing princes and taking their hearts. The other main character is Prince Elian who lives his live as a “pirate” killing the other sirens. Through a battle with her mother, The Siren Queen, she loses he magic singing voice and she gains a pair of legs. She is saved by Prince Elian and they become unlikely companions. The story then follows the two of them, and the secrets that they are hiding from each other.
This story has an amazing plot line that keeps you on the edge of your seat. I love the extremely slow burn enemy’s to lovers story line. This book is filled with, my favorite, pirates, action, and romance. It also has fun banter and strong relationships between character that you get to see grow and change throughout the story. Overall 5/5 stars, and I highly recommend!
