As a lover of fairytales, especially the Disney versions, this book sounded like something I’d enjoy due to the dark Little Mermaid twist to it.
And I did enjoy it! The writing was very easy to get into and kept me intrigued from start to finish.
I really liked the characters too and the developments they went through from seeing each other as enemies into something better.
The story was really good and the world building was interesting too, I really liked hearing of the different countries and their appearances, how different they all were.
After having this book on my shelf for a while I can now say that it was worth the wait in my opinion. I’ll definitely be reading more books by this author.
