This was the first book to completely spin my views on a genre. I had bought this book a few years back and have been captivated since then. It was the first book I’ve ever given a five star rating with a review that’s how gripping it was.
Looking back now I can definitely say that the romance could have been better with a longer or more detailed ending. However, it does not take away from the amazing plot of this story.
This is a perfect enemies to lovers with slightly more hate then love. The fact it was a little mermaid retelling did put me off from reading it but it was not how it seemed at all.
In this book the little mermaid is not so little anymore with a heart that thirst for blood, or is that what she was told to want. The story holds the reader’s attention with a gruesome as well as some relatable romance and morals. With a one bed trope, enemies to lovers, close proximity and betrayal. This book just seems to have it all.
