This was my first fairytale retelling and was u sure about the genre before I begun, but I had heard such good things about this book that it convinced me. From the first chapter I was hooked with the characters. The main female character is a siren princess cast out of her kingdom by her cruel queen mother for disobeying her. To prove her northern wrong she goes to steal the heart (literally, and not figuratively like a lot of books!) of a well known siren catcher prince. She ends up having to gain his trust and go on a sort of quest with him where they get to know each other much better…
This book is filled with a fast paced story that kept me gripped from the start and wondering how it will continue. Although it was a retelling of the little mermaid it was much more exciting and I loved the character development throughout the book. I loved the ending of this book it was very exciting and enthralling and was definitely a 4 star read!!!!
