If you're like me, fairy tale re-tellings can either be really enjoyable or can be left feeling like it was lacking and this book fell into the first category!
I loved the world building in this book, everything was just so beautifully described and detailed, you could really see throughout the book how much time and effort went into creating this beautiful book! I thought that the book was paced so well throughout, with enough time spent on the main events in the book and nothing felt rushed.
This modern day take on the little mermaid was such a joy to read and an enemies to lovers dynamic never goes a miss in my book hahah. I loved Lira's character and the banter that she shared with Elian throughout the novel leading to a slow building romance! Alexandra Christo is definitely an author to watch out for!
