It took me a while to read this book, because I’m not huge on stand-alones, but I loved this book so much!!! It included my all time favourite trope- enemies to lovers- but LITERALLY, not just a slight dislike.
“I have a heart for every year I’ve been alive” drew me in right away. I liked the development- if you thought back to the start once nearing to the end, there was a huge different in the characters, etc, that you could very easily see.
Read the whole book in one sitting- I simply couldn’t put it down! Both protagonists were truly lethal that I wanted to fly through the book just to see how they could possibly even like each other. It’s also fun to see all the different places they went to and how the kingdoms differ from one another; the world building is easy to digest without bogging you down with overcomplicated description and extraneous information.
